I finally added the door flap to the shed. Now I can completely shut them in at night for added protection. I'm also pretty pumped that the flap can be opened to a variety of angles. I can open it all the way flush up for cleaning purposes or put it at an angle to allow for rain/sun shade.

The chickens were initially disgruntled, but have since gotten over it.

Thanks! The herd outgrew the original coop so I added this setup as the annex. I hit a great sale on the Lowe's playhouses and then added the 8' shed for shade. It's working out great!

I love your idea! It looks clean and nice as well as functional.
I bought 2 of the Lowes playhouses awhile back for 89.00 ea. I was wanting to put them together and make a 4 x 8 ft. house for my silkies.
Your idea is so neat and I just might use it instead..

Just a ? about the windows.. Will you use plexiglass in cold and screen in warm weather?
