I was looking at my scrap pile and found some Luan plywood I considered cutting supports for a set of chick roosts from. It is primed on one side.

Question: Is anybody familiar with that? Is it considered chick safe?

I could also cut the ends from cardboard. I have plenty of wood to make the actual roost from.

I am talking about chicks, not fully grown birds

besides, it is a plywood.....plenty strong.
I am just worried about the primed side of it.
I've used luan to build more than a few things.
The stuff I had was not primed, but I doubt it's toxic.

Got a sketch of what your are building?
