It's lubber time again here in Florida. Are they safe for the girls to eat? Is there a safe pesticide to use that will effectively kill these stupid things before they kill everything else?

I noticed them today in the coop, a spider that has taken up residence in one of the corners has been trapping some! But they aren't little for long. Its just not realistic that I can spend hours every day stomping and drowning these awful things.

If you are unaware of what a lubber is, this is them:

They pop up by the thousands and eat everything in sight. Oh, and they have stupid pink wings that lets them fly. HATE. /end rant.

Any help would be much appreciated.

let the girls have a feast. easily one of the birds favorite foods and your feed bill is going to go way down until they're gone!
