Lump on chicken leg

i just got a new hen and I found this strange hard lump on her foot. Help! The last photo is the good side for comparison.

That is probably a bite wound and you should clean it first. Rub it with hydrogen peroxide for germs and then put antibiotic ointment. Bandage it and do it once a day till healed. Check her for other wounds.

ok thank you i will. we do have mongoose here. i did notice she was limping the other day to so that probably when it happened. I just caught her today. We have loads of feral chickens around here so i catch them sometimes to add to my flock if i like them. I currently have a flock of 13.

ok so i did that and wrapped it up. i am going to be gone all day tomorrow so i can't clean it then. it is hard, do you think its an abses.?

So is the enlarged area on her hock joint or closer to the foot? Does it feel warm? Is she walking normally or limping?

more to the hock. it feels hard and slightly warm, could be the chicken, she is walking more normal now, but she was limping the other day.

i donts have that vinegar, i only have white distilled. i just added the powder and oregano.
