Hello my 6 month old Brahma hen has been developing this lump in her face for the last couple months. The lump is not rock hard but not super soft, kind of feels like a mix.

She had no runny eyes on nose, no wheezing or coughing or goopy / crusty eyes. Appetite and energy level are really good. Only thing wrong seems to be the lump itself.

Any idea what it could be or what I could do? I am in Ontario Canada with no chicken vet and vet meds are not available over the counter. Only thing I would be able to get hands in would be over the counter human stuff. Thank you!

Can you find Terramycin antibiotic eye ointment online or at a feed store? It looks like it could be a sinus infection. Apply Terramycin or Neosporin two time a day until it resolves.

I will look into terranycin. I know I’ll be able to find neosporin! Just apply directly to the spot? I will give it a try

It looks like some sort of cyst. There is a blueish spot on it. Does it look like it could have pus inside it, from a peck wound that has abscessed?
It does have a darker spot on it. It does feel like some sort of fluid but not totally liquid filled. I don’t recall her having any sort of wound there but maybe something small happened. If it is a cyst how should I treat it? I will try to treat it for this and try the sinus infection treatment mentioned above just in case its either

The eye ointment does not go on the lump. Put it in the corner of the eye itself. The eye is connected to the sinuses inside the head.
Turns out all I can purchase (even online) would be polysporin pink eye eye drops. Would these ingredients work the same?

Update - I poked just under the skin and a lot of clear but yellow tint liquid came out. Is that pus? I heard chicken pus is stringy so I wasn’t sure. It was like a blister popping.
