lump on ducklings back

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help?
one of my ducklings has a lump on his/her back, it almost looks like some feathers coming through but got clumped together and cant grow or something, here are a few pics and a video if anyone knows what it is or if there is anything I need to do about it. Xx

near to the end of his back and at the start of his little tail that muscovies have and it feels sort of string and soft

I second that. Their oil glands look like that.

I have just looked it up and now realize it is the oil gland, thankyou you so much.
I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything bad as I am new at the duck life.

That's probably the little fluffies preen gland and nothing to worry about if it is soft and not inflamed/hot

Yes! I hadn't seen this response when I replied to your comment about it being near the base of the tail
