Somewhat urgent? My Cayuga female seems to have a bump on the underside of her face. All my other ducks I can feel the two sides of their skull along with a tendon in between, easily felt and defined. With Daffy, its not as defined and there seems to be a lump between the left side of her skull and the tendon... Anyone experience that before? She's broody, could that have anything to do with it with hormones?

A year or so ago a member on the goose thread had a goose with swelling under the chin come to find out a stick was lodged under the tongue and had created an abscess. They got it out and treated for the infection and the goose healed fine.

Did you look under the feathers for an abscess or wound? Or check inside her mouth for something stuck under her tongue.

I checked on the outside, nothing amongst or under the feathers that I could see. Checked her tongue too, nothing.

I just checked. Nothing that I could see on or under her tongue :/

Just managed to get this picture with my sister's help.

Yep looks swollen did you look at her skin where it's swollen? could be an abscess?

She is eating and drinking with out any trouble?

As far as I can tell, yeah. Except when she's on her nest, pretending to be a mama duck

Maybe a bee sting. Keep an eye on it hopefully what ever it is it will resolve on its own. Just make sure she is able to swallow and she is eating and drinking. I have 2 broody ducks right now they aren’t sitting on eggs I make sure both are coming out at least 1X a day it’s very important for their health

Hadn't thought of that! She will eat anything that flies by her, she definitely would have tried to eat a bee. Making an appointment with her vet anyway and I can cancel if it does resolve itself.
