Lump on Hen's Chest!

In the first picture she looks pretty thin.

How old is she? Did she go broody?

Have you checked her for lice or mites? Have you worked your flock?

What are you feeding?

She definately gets plenty to eat.
Their main food is a high quality layer crumble. I also give oyster shell.
Because I thought she was in molt, I was giving her some extra protein with the treats I was giving her. I give her little tidbits of cooked chicken, as well as worms and all the Japanese Beetles I pull off the plants. I'm also bad and give her a little bit of wheat bread, because we don't eat the ends. >_<
Boss gobbles all her treats up!
Since she's been in a separate pen I also give her grass to peck and scratch too, every couple days or so.

She's a couple years old max. I can't tell you for sure. She's a mature adult, but fairly young.

I don't think she has parasites, but I'll definately look closer tomorrow.

As far as I know Boss has never been broody.
A couple of the other hens in the flock have, but I haven't seen Boss pay much attention to eggs.

Took these this morning. She has had no food since Wednesday night. She went all day yesterday, and now she's fussy. I didn't feed her this morning, in case y'all were going to give me instructions.
She still has a pretty decent lump on her chest. Y'all sure it's her crop?
Idk >_<

I would personally not be withholding food from her until you are 100% sure of a diagnosis. If she is a jubile Orpington, she looks skinny to begging with. Withholding her from the nutrients that she need may create secondary problems

She's a half-naked(lol) speckled Sussex, and gets fed plenty. Half the time she kicks the food everywhere and wastes it. No, she's not starving.
I was told to withhold food from her so that they could help determine diagnosis. (See page 1)

Y'all's guess is better than mine. I have no idea what is wrong with her.
I know she acts just like all my other chickens, but she won't grow her feathers back, and she has this lump.

She has a bold personality, and is very vocal when I come talk to her.
If it is a tumor, it is not treatable, right?
Will it affect her quality of life?
Does it hurt?
Will she be unhappy?

If this makes her miserable I will have my brother cull her. I won't let her suffer. She's been good to me. But if she can live a normal life I want to let her be.

What do you think?
