lump on left side of chest

All my 10 pullets most 8 weeks, one 12 weeks and one 13 wks have a large lampoon the left side of their chest. They appear healthy and are eating normally. Is this normal. They are still on chick crumbles and have a large covered run with grass that is now getting a bit long.

Sounds like a full crop. Can you share pictures?

That’s called the crop, it’s the organ that stores food! In the morning they should be empty before they eat and full at night when they go to sleep.

A full crop is a sign that they are eating normally, unless their breath smells fermented.

Edit: fermented breath smell is NOT normal. Sorry about the mistake

Most younger birds stuff themselves, and go to bed with big full crops.
