Lump on my ducklings neck

    One of my new welsh ducklings has a lump on its neck. Doesn't look like the crop. It's eating, breathing and drinking fine, but occasionally I see it mock swallow as if it's uncomfortable, which is understandable. Does anyone know what this is? I've attached a picture. Please help.[​IMG]

    Meanwhile, I wonder if it's a cyst, or an infected gland or something.

    Is it soft to the touch? Tender?

    There are feather cysts - pretty benign, if I recall correctly....
