Hello Fellow Chicken Friends,

I was checking my Flock today and noticed that my Rooster had this Lump on the back of his neck. The sack was soft to the touch and the inside was a little hard. I didn't notice really anything else on him. Wondering if anyone might have any idea of what it is or what it could be?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Could be a feather cyst. I see a few pin feathers coming in. One looks like a double.
The white spots look like they may be feather follicles.

It's one of those things that you may want to think about - you can leave it alone and monitor to see if the lump changes/stays the same, probe about a little and see if there's an impacted feather or see a vet that knows something about poultry.

Thank you. I ended up just making a circle around the base to see if it gets any bigger. I'll keep an eye on it to see.
