Hello everyone. Would anyone be able to tell me what these lumps on my chicks beak are? The chick is eating and drinking well and is active. The lumps just keep growing. What can I do to help it?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like fowl pox. Are there any yellow lumps in the mouth? If it's only on the outside, it's dry pox. If there's stuff in the mouth/throat, it's wet pox. Not much can be done to treat fowl pox. It's a virus. Supportive care is the only thing you can do, and hope that she survives. Prognosis isn't great for chicks. Dry pox is much more survivable than wet pox.

Looks like infection of sime sort has taken hold. @casportpony ... care to take a look?

When keeping cattle you will never lose a cow who is standing and eating. I think that the same is true with chickens. However the photo is poor so I don't know what bump that you are speaking about. May I suggest that you Google "egg tooth"
Not sure how much more clear you need the photo to be to see obvious deformities? What is shown is clearly not egg tooth

It's only on the outside. I was told by a family member that it was fowl pox, although I wanted to posted here to get more opinions from those who have more experience raising chicks. Thank you.
