I'm glad to hear she's better

One year ago today Jenny entered the University of Md Medical Center in 'scary' bad condition. This past weekend we visited her, and what a difference a year makes. Her hair has grown back - it's now died auburn, and looks quite attractive with her complexion. Her interim school report indicates that at this time she is achieving two B's and five A's scholastically. This from the kid who was borderline failing everything last year. I told her that the drawback with these grades is that she could no longer claim 'stupidity' as the cause for poor grades. The Lupus (hateful, hateful condition) is not in remission, but presently it is being controlled, and she is as normal as a teen age girl can be.

Update! For the first time since Jenny was diagnosed, her bloodwork came back 'near normal'. She is not in remission, but the Lupus (hateful, hateful disease) is at the lowest level of activity since diagnosis.
