So many folks take "an uneventful year healthwise" for granted. I know I sure used to. I'm so happy it's been this way for her. Kiddos just shouldn't have to go through things like this.

I'm glad you will be there to celebrate her birthday. And good on her for getting the job!

Well, we made it there and back safely - round trip of 368 miles isn't as easy as it used to be. Had a good visit and nice meal at a seafood restaurant - all went well. Jen tends to be reserved and reticent, but today she was outgoing, smiling and really happy. She informed us that she has interviewed for another job - her present job doesn't provide enough hours to keep her busy. OK. Rachel, I think that she has learned that nothing in life can be taken for granted. Hard lesson for any of us - especially tough for a kid.

Jennifer is 18 years old today, and just got her acceptance letter to Penn State.

Four and a half years ago I came here and asked for prayers and help. You folks responded, and so did God. On Friday Jennifer graduates from high school. Thanks for your support.

Just got home for a brief respite. Graduation was beautifully done. One more tomorrow down in Philadelphia.
