Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about quail (never had any), but they are sure cute little birds. Thanks everyone. I feel very welcome. I have asked questions about our quails over on the quail board. It appears that we are very unusual in that we have 2 males living happily together! I live in a strange house where the rule appears to be animals all live in harmony in the parameters of the house, outside is a different matter entirely! I am fairly sure the lurcher is not meant to be friends with the chooks, what can i say we all share the

2 male quail can live in wonderful harmony as long as there are no females around. It also depends on the breed and if they were raised together. I have Bobwhite males that live side by side with no animosity what so ever. They were raised together as well. It is when there are females that males can go off on each other. Competing for females.
