Hey! My name is Marylea and I live with my vegan family of 6 on a little island in BC Canada. Two months ago I got my first chickens, a small flock of ayam cemani (one rooster 3 hens) off of craigslist. I’ve been using byc as a resource since before I got my flock and finally decided to become a member.

Last month 2 of my hens went broody and now we have 5 chicks with more on the way. It’s been a little crazy especially since I’m very new at this but boy do I ever love my chickens.

I also have 1 dog, 3 cats and 2 guinea pigs.
