Hi Krystal! Oh my! Where? That’s where I am :)
When I first moved to MA, I lived in Greenfield for approx. 2 years, then I lived in and around Northampton for 3-4 years while I attended Smith. I absolutely loved it there. I have lived all over the country, but that area is one of the only places I would ever live again. I still have a lot of friends in the area, but haven’t visited in a while. I hope to change that soon.

Oh how sweet! I live in Leyden and work in Northampton. :) Greenfield is one of my stomping grounds as it is just down the long and winding road and is where the Farmer’s Cooperative is. Small, tiny world, huh? :)

Hello, Devorah! I am quite near Boston, just south of the city, so fairly dense suburbs here. Our bylaws allow 6 chickens (and no roosters). I am waiting with a combination of excitement and "Oh My GOSH, what have a started now??!!"

I would be glad to be new chicken twinsies or whatever we should call ourselves

I would be glad to be new chicken twinsies or whatever we should call ourselves. There is a small number of active members in Massachusetts right now, and I have several neighbors who have or have had chickens. But it's so nice to have this community to "hold my hand" when I panic. I have Followed you.

Hi Betsie! Know Boston well … so I can imagine the chicken (and rooster) limitations there! Ha! I say what you say every morning but the more I say it, the less I mean it! 🤣 Where is your coop? How big is your backyard? What kind of city predators will you be protecting against besides the neighbor’s dogs (yikes - and yours!). I’m really impressed that you are into chickens. Sounds like you are following your gut. Chicken twinsies sounds good to me! (We’ll get through the panic creatively). 😜
