My hen Lydia, had nasty fluff feathers, so I caught and washed her behind. Noticed some feathers missing and red flesh so I administered some Monistat and gave a dose of Epsom salts thinking it was yeast/vent gleet. It has continued to look redder for 2 days now. I trimmed more feathers and have kept her separated from the others. She is perky and acts like nothing is wrong but the area under her vent and between her legs is red and swollen. Gave Sul-Met this morning "just in case" . I have searched high and low on this site to get an idea of what this is. Many photos here look similar to mine . Will try to post mine now for some help from the experts...
Lydia's Hiney....she will be1 year old March 25th.
