I can't remember if I ever posted to this thread. I'm not subscribed, so I assume not. I'm in Pass Christian. We started with our first flock in June. Lost 7 of 9 to Marek's. Not an auspicious start. We recently added another 9 chicks to the flock, from Murray McMurray because they give the best available Marek's vaccine. The chicks are 12 weeks old - I'm a bit worried about the cold temps they are forecasting for the next couple of nights.

How many are you wanting to get? I live in the Kiln, 30 min from Biloxi. I also have fertile eggs if you were interested in both? Do you have a Roo?

Just 3-4, we finished building a small run and connected it to a modified shed made into a coop. We've got geese in the incubator, so no need for fertile eggs. We don't have and don't want a roo right now, just some good egg layers for family production. What kind do you have and what ages? Wouldn't mind driving to you for a pick up!

I would like a rooster but I have Marek's in my flock. Any rooster I get would need to be vaccinated.
