I only have phone access to a nurse speaks asks the vet that employs her They live far away but she'll visit soon.

He's 12 702 kilos
The veterinary nurse believes that he can take a whole paracetamol every 3 hours if needed. I've used one at night for the past two nights because I know that that pain relief can stop working .

I will try either a quarter or third of a capsule in the next meal because I'm supposed to take 2 a day. In place of this paracetamol and see how he goes tonight.

Thank you so much.

Thank you 😊
Sorry to hear he is having trouble. I cannot help as I don't know anything about dogs. I don't believe paracetamol is one of those pain killers that stop working so I would give whatever dose the vet says is the right dose for him.
Poor little pup.

Acetaminophen (Paracetamol, Tylenol) is not a medication that become less effective with regular use. Most drugs that are like that are narcotic type meds.

The acetaminophen will work fine when given regularly, it’s best to keep the dosage at the correct level and at the correct interval so that the blood serum level stays steady. Skipping dosages will mean that the medication will have to build up in the system again to become effective. This can take up to 90 minutes. If you take a medication at the prescribed times and dosage then the level of med in your system remains constant.

This is especially important with antibiotics and why they say every 6 hrs rather than 4 times a day.

Tax for non-chicken boking 😊

Yes. This ^^

Well this was a bit of a surprise.
Tassels laid both the eggs on the right today. The blue one on the left is from one of Pooh/Piglet/Calypso and is the normal size for them.

Hmmmm - strange.

Having said that I have given up on ‘normal’ with my chooks, nothing they do is normal.

Anything goes….

Wow. And I thought only cats had 9 lives. That poor thing has gone through a lot. My girl also has bad teeth. She has had several teeth pulled. This last time my vet asked me if we wanted to chance putting her under with her age and problems. I told him..she's in pain..I've had toothaches. :/ I hope this doesn't sound heartless but I told him it would be easy for her to go while asleep. She did fine! Thank the heavens. I love this little cutie. You asked about pain relief. Tramadol is working for her many different pains going on. She still has that ..pretty good..quality of life that I can see. Like I said, she's a Shi Tzu, I keep her coat shaved but her ears and tail. Doesn't have that furry face. You can tell that she is wagging her tail happily in the one. My BYC friend (we connected w/ each other many years ago) no longer keeps chickens :( but keeps me informed on two cats and two dogs, one being an adorable shi tzu 4 years old.
:)
It seems they are happy dogs w/ calm temperaments. My friend has him groomed monthly -- quite costly but worth it.
