So last Sunday I'm at work in the hospital when I hear my license plate # paged overhead. I go out to the parking lot to find my car (2004 Honda Pilot) had been hit in the back by a 84 yr old woman leaving the hospital. I finally get the police report today and contact their insurance company who proceed to tell me that they will deny the claim because it was an "act of God'. Apparently the lady claimed she passed out from low blood sugar. Needless to say I hate insurance companies. I suppose I'll have to sue the woman in court directly for damages. Makes me mad mad mad.

if you have insurance call yours and tell them what happened and they can help you out. Your insurance shouldnt go up because of it.

Call your insurance company, then call her ins. company back and tell them you'll be getting a lawyer and suing for emotional distress along with the damages.... they'll pay.

If she was leaving the hospital, shouldn't she have been ok - as in NOT going to pass out?
If you can't sue her, then sue the hospital for letting an 84yo woman leave he hospital when she was not fit to drive!

I have a call out to my insurance agent and I do expect they will help out and put pressure on the other company to cover the loss. It's just a royal pia. At least mine wasnt the other car she hit and I suspect totaled. It had extensive damage, mine's relatively minor.
