Hi My chicken Madam is real ill she is at this moment sat on my lap after allowing me to force water down her mixed with some suger & poulty drink.

She started lookinh off about 3 days ago when she let me stoke her which my chickens don't do!!!

I though she may be broody as she stayed in the coop a lot but she wasn't sat on eggs well only one and was not upset when I moved her off

Today she was the last out the coop and has not eaten anything or had anything to drink - and Ive offered some real nice treats, she seamed real slow on her feet

I went up about an hour ago 6.00pm still light and shes asleep in the coop let me pick her out with out a peep. I know it sound possible odd but though she may be egg bound so put me fingure up to first joint up her and a load of runny poo come out but no sign of egg - #i wasn't sure how far to put my finger to know and weatjher it was her bum or lady part!!!! Sorry I am so dump

Her comb is all droopy

Somebody said she may have impact - I don't know what this is - she has a soft crop no food in it as far as I can tell

PLEASE HELP

Hi, can you give us some more info on her.
How old is she?
What do you feed her?
When was she last wormed?
Any other symptoms?

She really needs to eat and drink. You can scramble up some eggs and try to put some pieces in her mouth for her to swallow, it may take several attempts. If you have any liquid childrens vitamins, or poultry vitamins put that in her water too. Keep dribbling the side of her beak with the water etc, not directly in it because she could aspirate on the liquid. You can feel with your hand along her underbelly, between here keel bone and her vent, and see if you feel anything firm like an egg. Sometimes an egg will get stuck way down inside them. Is she panting at all?

^^^she knows much more than I do. Good Luck
