Madder than a wet hen

Today I went down, she seemed to have a bit redder comb, and she lost that cranky stink eye look. I dampened her down again, not sure if it helps, 102 today. Let her out into a spare run, no bedding, I dampened the dirt and left. When I came back she was giving herself a dirt bath.

There are roosts in this run, I will check tonight. Hoping it does not take as long because she spent 28 days broody. She needs to quit. But I think she looked better this morning.

Well, she had a dozen eggs under her... a couple of days before to make sure she really was broody RI - not real famous for going broody. And a few days afterwards... but she seems better now.

Hot as crap here and I just let my ISA brown out after 4 weeks in broody jail. I do the exact same as aart but the heifer just wouldn't stop. They say ISA don't go broody but I have that ONE that does it every year. Sadly it been a different one so far.
