Made my own Coop, respectful critiques welcome!

As far as stuff for the run, I put a hardware cloth frame on the ground in my run to preserve some grass and herbs. The chickens can eat what grows through, but they can't kill it. I cut some 2"-3" dia branches and screwed them to the framing in various places for roosts. (The jury is still out on that because some birds like to "camp out"), I want them in the coop so it's easier to scoop the poop.
I have a dusting box, a skid leaning against the wall for roosting and hiding, and a bench that I share with the girls. I think you can see pretty much everything on my coop page.

Yep, It blocked off with a piece of plywood for now. I heard you were supposed to block them off until they are of laying age, but I don't remember where I heard it/why I did it/or if it was even necessary.
I did the same thing. I'm probably about 3-weeks from opening them up.

Looks wonderful! Looks like the one my husband and I made. We based ours off the state coop company too. You will love the clean out door, the way it swings down is so convenient! Great job and enjoy!

It looks fantastic! I wish we had done something more like this than what I went with. There are just do many options, it tends to get overwhelming! Especially when you don't have any experience yet.
You did great! Your wife should be thrilled.
