Made my own nest box

Just thought I'd share. I'm getting ready for spring hoping we get blessed with our mandarin hen laying eggs Buying a nest box is expensive, so I made my own. It's not the prettiest as I don't have certain tools, but I'm happy with it!

Great job! The door is a great idea on the side. Our first set of nest boxes did not have a door on the side which was a pain. They only opened from the top and would be hard reaching all the way down a nest box especially when they are at a decent height.
