Madison, WI (and surrounding areas)- chicken friendly?

I work in Verona (near Epic, where your BF is likely looking at employment) and live in Mt. Horeb. Verona is not chicken-friendly - they are not allowed =(

Mt. Horeb is chicken heaven. We have a larger lot, but it's in the village and on a typical neighborhood street. Our neighbors say they enjoy the atmosphere the girls bring, and we see a lot of coops around town. As long as there aren't complaints, you are not hassled or restricted by numbers or types (roosters allowed).

Sorry you didn't get to experience Wisconsin, but it's worth a second try if the opportunity presents.
