Maggots & Mold on chicken wound )

If the dog attacks have happened since the fencing was added, or if they're escaping and being attacked, they are not safe. Backyard fence is nowhere near the level of protection of an electric fence.

Like I’ve said before, but I’ll say it again. They have been getting out by jumping (only a few hens) then I clipped their wings and haven’t had that problem since. Then they started getting out underneath. They scratch out the dirt than was there (it was our door) I have since closed it off and used nail staples to attach t to the floor. None have been getting out. And my dogs have less of an aggressiveness towards them with so more training.

Glad to hear they have a waterer. There's a world of difference between an electric fence and plastic mesh. I hope the dogs are on the other side of the wood fence and that it isn't the mesh that stands between them and the dogs.

You had 2 losses and one that survived an attack? Did any attacks happen when people were present? And this is still your set up?

Maybe mesh might be ok while they're supervised but if the dogs are chasing and killing large pullets (this happened after you took the cute photos, right?) when you aren't looking, just don't expect the plastic to keep chickens safe the next time it happens.

The dog that did the attacking is a little 10 pound Shichon. The chicken pecks her and she became aggressive towards them. We added the setup after the two deaths. Elizabeth was outside the fencing area. The dogs can’t get into the fencing area. The setup works. The chickens are safe. The dogs are being trained. What is the problem. Why are you harassing me. I’m not changing what works so stop. Your being very rude and insensitive. My chickens died or course I don’t put them on a throne and have tea time with them everyday like you do. I am sad they died. And when their 3 summer comes around I will cull them. You wanna know what I did to my chickens? What I did when they died? I ate them. My dogs and I. I made chicken broth. I learned about there anatomy so when I killed them they won’t feel pain. I respected my girls be using ever parts of them. Use ever part of the Buffalo. Or it’s not fair to them. Are you happy now? You wanna continue to ridicule me? To talk to me like I’m below you because I don’t have a built in fence run? This is a rental property lady. They’re fine, safe, and happy. So stop.

I don't think anyone is trying to harass you. She is simply concerned. Maybe the next attack won't come from your dogs, but a hawk or a raccoon or skunk , etc. It has happened to others. Honestly she was trying to be very respectful and help, but you seem to go on the defensive pretty quick.
Nobody on here knows everything and when you ask for help, people are going to give you their opinion.
You will find most people are not on here because they think they are better than you. They are here to help and learn themselves.
Just as I am assuming you are. If you seen someone else post something that you believe is a potentially deadly situation wouldn't you want them to give what you are saying serious consideration for safety sake?

If you don't believe her or me for that matter just look at the threads in predators. People who even have Fort Knox setups still have problems.

You must not be aware but in my area there are no hawks or skunks to worry about. There are raccoons and foxes but not in our neighborhoods. There are no predators here besides neighborhood cats that get chased off by my dogs when I tell them to (they are trained not to bite, just bark). And medium sized lizards. Bigger than regular lizards but smaller than iguanas that can’t hurt the chickens. Predators aren’t a problem, especially when you have three layers of Defensive like I do even if there is. The setup works, it is safe for them, and does it’s job. So stop.

Lambert Kay EMT gel (available at TSC and online) known as a 'first aid kit in a tube' works awesomely excellent on bad wounds.
It is made out of collagen and seals, protects, and promotes new cell growth.
I've seen it work wonders, grow skin back on area's I thought should be stitched, bad wounds.
