Magicfly incubators

I am also considering one of these. In my previous research it seemed the only chinese incubator worth trusting was the Janoel, and I actually looked at this one as the photo in the Trademe listing looked like it was a Janoel.

who has hatched duck eggs in it?

Should I get an external humidity and temp guage? Hearing conflicting things about that some ppl saying that they had external guages telling them the incubator was fluctuating too much but when they just went by the one on the incubator most eggs hatched

Id like an incubator, can't really afford a brinsea, and from my previous research Janoel seems only chinese one worth getting. So if magicfly is the same thing with a different brand printed on it, then that might be a good thing?

Also, people comment about lockdown, and not openings the incubator, I have 2 questions about that:
1: how do you turn eggs in non automatic without opening it?
2: why is lockdown so vital? In a natural duck or chicken incubated hatch the eggs are not in a sterile environment, and usually hatch fine.

I have a Magicfly incubator. At first I was spectacle, but I’m glad I didn’t get one of those very expensive ones.
I have an Amazon Blue Front that was a first time breeder. Both the Hen and the Cock were not doing such a great job. One of the eggs had a small pin head dent from both parents kicking and rolling eggs. I had to remove an incudbate. Luckily, I expected this due to my research and bought this incubated about 10 days prior to egg laying. I tested the incubator for 4-5 days and monitored the temp and humidity. I live in central Florida so humidity here is almost always in the 40%. This was tricky, since the amount recommended on the instructions werent working for me, so I got creative. It’s not been 2 weeks since I place egg #1 and 10 days for egg #2 and 8 days for egg #3. I’m happy to say egg 2 and 3 are developing!!!! Note: parrot eggs are more complicated than chicken eggs and are very rare to incubated especially from day 1 and this incubator so far did an awesome job. Now I have to wait 2 weeks and see if I get a hatch. I will update when this happens!!!

I just bought a used only 3x magicfly incubator to try my first hatch. I got everything-- but directions/ user manual. Any avail online? I have tried to find myself...if some sweet soul would send me a line or copy the book I will be in your debt.

Can anyone help me? When I set my magicfly to 38c... My inside temp on 2 seperate thermometers reads 92-95... Should I adjust it to be higher? Thanks

My Magifly might be different but I tested my temperature time and time again and found that 36.2 F is the 99.5 F. They’re developing fine right now and I hatched 3 duck eggs last time.
