Magpie broke eggshell - duckling still alive!

Here is Blue with that little duckling. The others have only hatched this morning so are not really up and about much at the moment. I was thinking that I would have to make sure the little duckling got water and food but Blue got off her nest and took it over to the food and water for a few minutes before heading back to the nest. The duckling was taking its time and Blue gave a big quack and it sprinted back in the nest with her Thanks so much everyone for your help in getting this little baby hatched.

Great update. Keep alert. The magpie may try to snatch the ducklings.

Mum and ducklings are fully enclosed in the duck enclosure that we refer to as "the maternity ward" so no magpies or any other nasty creatures can get near them!!
