hello! i have an order for magpies for next spring and id like to hear about your experiences with them!
some questions i have are:
can a magpie drake really handle a 1 to 5 ratio?
what does a magpie/Swedish cross look like?
what is a typical male to female hatch ratio?
what traits do I look for in my keepers?(if I get a good ratio Id like to keep one male and 4 females)
should I look for a secondary breeder to get a drake from or can I use a drake from this batch?
and any source recommendations for information on color genetics

very very good information! this is almost exactly what i was looking for. my biggest concern was i know that with mammals sometimes dilution/modification genes can lead to sever health problems when trying for specific colors(such as a double occurrence of a merle gene in dogs)
