I was wondering thatI’ve got the same thing going on with a couple of ravens. They follow my chickens around and watch over them while they free range. I’ve also noticed that they chase away hawks, try to keep the magpies, it’s free security!![]()
We have a big group of magpies here, I love them. Although I hate how they prey on baby birds! I still respect them for their intelligence and observe their personalities. They havent ever shown any interest, but my girls are just fascinated by other birds! The last few weeks I noticed a magpie would come to the fence and chat loud at my ducks
As the time went on the magpie would get closer and closer
Today I was cleaning the duck pen and could hear the magpie very loud
I look and it’s sitting at the duck door looking in
By the time I got my phone out it had moved from the doorway but was still standing with the ducks
Anyone else have a magpie want to be friends with their ducks
