Have you ever seen a magpie with green feathers and head? I thought they were just black and white?
Wow have they grown A LOT!!!
It's normal. Just the sun reflecting on her feathers.
I'm still stumped as to what the one could be...
@QuackinMeUp Would you mind getting shots of them in there natural stance? I'm thinking the black one might actually be a Runner, which means the mystery one could be a Silver runner.
Aww - your little magpie looks just like mine
She's adorable. Mine does have a green sheen in the sun and purple on her wing tips. A lovely bird just like yours!
I know!!! They are getting so big!! My dad randomly got be a duck pond so we have them a big swim today! They loved it!
Thank you! He is our spunky one. He has a little bit of a diva attitude lol he is my husband's favorite!!
I'm also beginning to think that goldi, the crested pekin is a jumbo pekin. She is younger than my mystery duck and my magpie, and she is the same age as my all black one. She is the biggest lol and her legs are way thicker too.
I think your mystery duck could possibly be a Silver Swedish. Here are some pictures of my Silver Swedish drake from duckling to adult.
