OK. My pullet have finally turned into a hen.... I remember like it was yesterday when she poked her little beak through the shell, but now she's all grown up and gone broody on me. Even though she's gone broody, she doesn't mind me at all petting her and stuff, not even a warning sound. Anyway, how do I stop her as I'm worried she's not getting enough food? I was thinking about getting a spray bottle and squirting it at her until she gets the picture.

I do have a huge crate........ might set it up. But I'm too lazy.
Lazy is good. Take the lazyy way out... er, I mean the Path of Least Resistance... put some fertile eggs under her and food in front of her. Or just the eggs under her, she will most certainly find her food when she gets hungry!

Embrace the Path

You got me thinking now. There might be a chance the eggs are fertile as I haven't enclosed my Super Special Giant Shamo by himself, and he's about 2 months older than them. But I don't think I can deal with having anymore chicks. You think if I take the eggs out from underneath her that she'll stop setting?

I sort of think she'll find a way to keep sitting.

Let's see your Shamo roo!! Once upon a time, I raised them myself... a wildfire wiped out the place and killed my remaining pair of Oriental fowl, and their chicks though.
