Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I know of at least 7 or 8 now who have Icelandics.

I only hatched 8, 1 had to be culled and another passed so I have 6. And most of them look like roos.

There are two of us here in AZ with Icelandics. The Warden, KathyinMo and a few others.

I went and looked at The Warden's page, WOW! I really like them.

What is a FBCMaran? I assume BCMaran is Black Copper Maran, but what does the F stand for?

Ok, ok, ok ......

F is for French. I don't know why some say FBCM, and others say BCM. Some say the F means they are feather shanked.

Yes, sorta. lol The french standard is feathered shanks.
So feathered shanks are FBCM clean legged is just BCM.

However, Bev Davis endorses dropping the F. The proposed SOP does not include the word French.

My livestock guard kitties....

They really do hang around and watch the chickens. No wild birds are allowed near any of "Their" birds.

AND since they live and wrestle with our 90# Chessapeak they are fearless and more than willing to take on wandering neighbor dogs. And they're pretty cute too.
