Awesome idea!!! Juggling 5 kids (one a newborn), a husband, two bators, and a brooder, it takes me quite a while to catch up. This is a great idea to know. Thanks for sharing.

Hello all! I havent been able to keep up over here---for which I apoligize. I have SO much going on, and really look forward to next week when the current job-gig is over with.


I need a nap.

SUPPOSEDLY--I have a bunch of eggs due tonight, but there is NOTHING going on in there. I had one pop out 2 days early, but now there is nothing but crickets chirping in the hatching room.

Looking forward to hatching a bunch of Ameraucanas, Icelandics and Marans.... and if I have room I'll throw in some TJs... just so I can join the club.

The lack of action in the bator had me concerned. So I candled and sure enough, all 40+ eggs due tonight died ~day 10---2 days after I candled them.

So either I manhandled them (which I didn't) or the construction people blew the breaker when they tore out the bathroom and didn't say anything.

SON OF A BUSCUIT I AM MAD!!

*sigh*

HOWEVER- the eggs that are due onthe 18th seem to be ok-ish. I saw definate movement from one that had pipped internally. It even looked like the chick had started to crack the shell. I just want ONE MORE to hatch. Just so my singleton can have a brooder mate.

Good golly I could start cursing like a submariner with turrets. But I wont. this is a family forum.
