Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

Lacy is the broody blue BLRW. She did not want to wait until Easter to hatch.

Her sister, the black BLRW, insisted on adding an egg to the nest today. I collected the egg and sent it home with DaleAnn Fox to put under her broody.

We got a broody first of the season and she looks like something out of a Scary movie.....she came off the nest today looking like a Sumo Wrestler and anyone that went near her she pecked them in the head. She is now in a cage with her eggs so no one will disturb her and so she wont attack anyone else.

She is one mad momma!

We are gearing up getting holders ready for the 2nd Annual BYC Easter Hatch...this weekend we start collecting for it.

Good luck everyone!

Took me awhile to catch up.

Kelly, the pic of the eggs look good!

CC that roo is just breathtaking.

What a day.

Was just finishing up my last patient at about 10 to 6PM when DW calls and says DD has had an accident and needs to be sewed up.

She was on the neighbors trampoline and the way she landed, some of the metal from the spring punctured her lower right lip, chipped her front tooth, cut the gums, scraped the chin, lots of blood... etc..

When I saw the wound, I knew I wasn't going to be sewing it up, so off to the ER. I stayed until I had paid the copay and made certain they had called a trauma plastic surgeon. She seemed a tad more comfortable with her mamma there anyway, so I'm home now. I imagine it will be a while before they get home. I'll fix the tooth and take rays of the teeth tomorrow.

I'm bushed and going to get some sleep.

Still praying for Tricia....

Sorry about your DD. At least she has you to get ger teeth fixed up. Wish we lived closer, our dentist got arrested a couple months ago and now we need a new one.

We had been going to him for over 15 years and well, he got into some trouble and now his licence is revoked.

Hmm well this is a new one for me and not good, don't think. I have some blue wheaton ameraucana eggs in the bator, and I'm afraid the egg turner quit. The first thing I noticed when I candled tonight at day 6 is that all the air cells seem to be off-centered to the side. I hand turned them for tonight, and tomorrow will put in a new turner, but if the turner has not been working for all 6 days, think they'll still hatch? Most all of them are developing good.
