How many does your bator hold? You're going to be playing tetris!

I have 27 eggs so far to set for the hatch. All from my 2 Polish pens, cochins, and ameraucanas. I missed out on setting duck eggs being away for the weekend, but no big deal, I will set some later this week.

Yesterday I sold all 7 of my Ameraucanas that hatched out last week. DH came home and was sad he did not get to say goodbye. He was the one that watched over them hatching for me while I was gone. He got all wraped up and excited about it. I still have my 3 polish babies in the brooder with my ducklings.

Just got the call from the PO! CC's eggs are here. Called DH and told him to bring me the car keys so I can leave on time to get to the PO!

OK this is the contest I want to run on the second week! SGC is this OK? That way we don't have to worry about children's faces etc. I think this would be fun!

Hi all, got 4 boxes of eggs from PO this morning, one box out of 15 eggs I only got 5 good ones, all the rest are smashed, very poor packaging. My question is, on the remaining 5 they have egg goo all over them, what is the safest way to clean them off. I don't want to take a chance of contaminating the remaining eggs that will be in the bator.

Thanks and happy hatching

Granny Hoffman there was a discussion about this earlier in the thread. I went back to try and find it but I couldn't but if you look back there were some good recommendations in there. I agree with you, I wouldn't put them in the bator that way. Sorry you got smooshed eggs.
