Was a bajillion degrees today. Over 100. I havent yet prepared the coop for the heat. I know what I will be doing tomorrow.

MAHONRI- I will fix the form in a minute. I can add it to the spreadsheet if anyone needs changes.

well my hen was off the nest for a 2 hours but the temp here was 85 and in the coop even hotter now she went back in and set on the nest the others are roosting and sleeping and she is on her nest growling so i will be going out every hr tonight to make sure she is still there and if she is there still at noon i will be putting my 22 eggs under her here is a picture of the eggs i will be putting under her if she sits all night also earlier today she literally chaced the rooster out of the coop when he got to close i LMAO seeing him run away from her

also the BR is back on a nest so maybe i will have two hens tomorrow to put eggs under i was afraid that i would not be able to hatch since i loaned my daughters class my incubator but looks like i have 2 incubators all ready to go outside i can not believe i have my first broody will be fun watching her and listening to her when someone gets to close to her and seeing her interact with the chicks when they are born

this is our hatcher - hubby got it for a steal, $250 but it had some issues.

it needed a humidifier, so he bought this one on e-bay I think!

The hose in the top (the supply line) is from the furniture part of a Bissel rug shampooer. It works great!
The hose from his nose

gets the water from a big tank on the floor.

oh, those aren't the eggs for this hatch, that was last month, going to put a whole new bunch in Tomorrow!

OK, this hatch is done ......
A few are still in the recovery room bator, but soon will be dry and fluffy and added. THEN, I can clean all the hatchers.

For the Easter Hatch I had planned to use broodies, but started thinking ..... hmmmm, what if they mess up? I still dunno what exactly I am gonna do. I have to figure this all out tonight. My usual schedule is to set eggs on Sunday night, because I ship on Mondays. This is gonna really mess me up. I gotta figure out something.....
