Steve- sometimes when the brochial system gets going, the coughing irritates it and it can't heal, because it's making you cough...because it's irritated, which makes you cough, which irritates it....

Anyway, at times I'm susceptible to this, and particularly easily irritated in the bronchial system because I had chronic pneumonia and life-threatening asthma as a kid. I have found that a medicine called Tessalon (Benzonatate) works wonders on that irresistible feeling to cough much better than the codeine syrup they love to prescribe for me. You might check into it if the coughing is wearing you out.

Hope you feel better soon!!

The cough was both making me feel both fatigued and sore in the back and ribs, but is better now. I'll keep the Tessalon in mind just in case I ever get this again.
A week ago today I was really feeling terrible but carried through with taking my turn to drive to a weekly meeting..................... during which I got even worse. Today, one of my two passengers phoned and said he couldn't drive tonight; he is down with a sinus infection and had also tested positive for infuenza.

Been a busy day.

Got rear ended this morning talking my son to school when the idiot in front of me slammed on his brakes. Don't know why he did it, but I missed him by about a foot. Car behind me didn't do as well.

Had other running to do and came home to 2 BCM chicks from my Davis flock

so at least something good happened. I have some of my project meat and egg chicks hatching and to hard to see if any other BCMs are pipping yet.

Wish me luck!

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the youngster!

40! ppppfffffffffffffffffffttt

I wish

Don't worry, there's still widespread and local areas of flu all over the US right now per CDC surveillance. You aren't the only vector out there

Thanks for that. I have not talked to my other passenger today.................... but last week he said not to worry about it; the factory he's employed at has a bug that has swept through, so he was probably exposed anyway. I've been the one to stay healthy for the last several years, but didn't fare so well this time I guess. It's also the first time I skipped the flue shot they recommended I get every year.

I'm hurting I tell ya.

My right arm, my back and neck and my right leg. I was holding down those brakes (thank God I got new ones last week!) and bracing for more impacts. Lots of cars and we were lucky the one behind the girl that hit me was about to swear around her. She and I had no option to do that with the traffic.

Her car is in worse shape than mine.

I bought that car on a whim and it was my husband's dream car. Used money from when my dad died to buy it after my husband died so I could get to the cemetery 2+ hours away. Then had to use the rest of my dad's money to fix all the things that went wrong with it. I had a For Sale sign on it and even put it on CL and then something else went out, so no way I could make up what I put into it and now it runs great! LOL It should! I took the sign off and canceled with the last major fix and figured Bill made me buy his car for a reason.

Well you know what? It could have been a lot worse! I have damage and I hurt (kids are fine, but Makayla was upset about being woke up lol), but the other car compared to my car????? I was lucky. Mine is at least 3x more expensive to fix, but the front of her's is much worse.

I think she was in shock though. Both of us were. Poor thing was trying to stay calm, asked how everyone was, handed over her insurance info right away and was late for work by the time we were finished. All either of us had was liability and I hate that she has to come out the pocket to fix her car. I would have had to also.

We talked about it a little bit the other day. I think keeping to just natural non photo shopped pictures would be more fair. I had forgotten to add that to the original contest post I made. I did go back and add that. Sorry, I hope that's alright with everyone.

I got a job today! Strange, I had given up any hope of finding something. DH and I had a date night this weekend adn were talking about just that and if I should continue searching and maybe look in town (45 miles away). He said we should just let it go and keep things as they are. Then I got a call today offering me a job I applied for a while ago that I dont have to travel for. So, yay me!

Oh, and if anyone out there can offer me advice on how and what to wash my runner ducks with before the show Saturday, I would greatly appreciate any advice.
