Any used lumber laying around? I've fashioned a crude, temporary, shelter from a scrap of plywood wired to concret blocks or nailed to cordwood, or even a garbage bag tied and weighted so the wind wasn't tearing it and snow/rain was stopped.

I am sure we can come up with something if it really does snow. Steve, we have dugouts all over the coop and this stinkin duck is one foot from one of them. Pricklet bites hard too.
OMG I AM JUST BESIDE MYSELF!!!! I candled the ducks that are due to hatch on thursday, and 4 of the five are moving around like crazy. This is a test hatch for a friend so I am REALLY lucky to have some welsh harlequins hatch!!! WOOOOOO!
Well unless I get a surprise in the morning... I think my birthday hatch is over... Not positive but I think I ended up with 54 chicks out of 63 eggs.. Most exciting is that the 2nd lav orp from corancher hatched tonight while I was at basketball! WOOT!! I ended up helping the first lav to pip out as it looked pretty shrinkwrapped and I was worried about it lasting till morning.. I hope it makes it!! I'll post some pictures in the morning... maybe it'll help with the itch for those of you who just have eggs to look at right now..
For your consideration.....Funniest picture/Cutest chick?
Just a little kiss....Come on!
Cain is our 5 year Old English Mastiff. My brooder room has now become his number one priority. He spends all day guarding the door and he cannot wait till its time to change the brooder bedding and feed and water everyone. He is chicken crazed just like me!
