Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

Quote:
I've had a hatch every week for the last three weeks. I have polish hatching as I type, and ducks due under a broody on Friday. But my easter batch is the biggest so far. It's so much fun. DH was all sad I sold all my Ameraucuans he helped hatch out while I was gone weekend before last. Can't keep them all.

It will be sad in June and July when I start thinning out my Ameraucana flock.

I will have no choice. But there will be some very happy buyers I'm sure.

Geoffry is getting older and one of my Blue Wheaten Cockerels that hatched from halo in my NYD hatch is a real looker so Geoffry may have a replacement.

Tehehe nice to know I'm not the only one with 'fish'.

I just evicted my fish out into an outdoor grow out pen but the name has stuck!. Poor confused barnyard mutts. DH keeps asking me "How the fish are doing?"

Now back to catching up... sooooo many pages!

OMG! I go to build a 2nd incubator (today was day 18 for some eggs-

That's really funny. I had actually contemplated suggesting a best Haiku contest for this hatch but then I considered the arguments about 5-7-5 that could happen and thought arbitrating would be a nightmare!

It's going to be 50 and sunny here today!! How lovely. The trees are just starting to form buds. Finally, spring.

This is exactly why I hate going to the doctor. I used to go to a family practitioner in Florida. Had to go once a month for my DS. I would have to make my appointments for the afternoon so I wouldn't miss work and he wouldn't miss school. After months of a 4PM appointment and not getting out of the office until 6PM after a ten minute consulation with the doc, I had to change doctors. I can understand an occasional running late, but this was every time. I would appreciate it if when you go to check in they give you an option like the doctor is running 45 minutes late, would you like to reschedule? I remember one doc appointment I had for DS with another doctor. We were 15 minutes early for the appointment as asked since it was our first time seeing this doc (gotta do that insurance paperwork). Waited 25 minutes after the appointment time when the doctor finally showed up from "lunch" then he goes in to his office and meets with drug company reps for another 20 minutes. At the end of the appointment the doc reminded me to stop by the front desk to make the next appointment. I went right past GO, did not collect $200, did not fill the scripts he gave us for my DS (you have no idea how angry I was with this kook) and never went back. Why is it considered OK for them to charge for their time and not OK for me to charge for mine? I have a life and things I have to get done as well. I don't know how many times when a doc has been very late for an appointment I have wanted to hand them a bill for my time that I was waiting past the appointment time. I might not have years of medical school but I have the opinion that what I do saves the lives of soldiers overseas so my time is just as important. OK OFF THE SOAPBOX NOW! (can you tell this is one of my "buttons"?

Mahonri, I agree with the others, please get a second or even a third opinion. If all three agree, get the surgery. Just because they say it might take say six weeks to recouperate, doesn't mean it will take you that long. My boss just had rotator cuff surgery and after two PT appointments, the doc has already taken him from twice a week to once every other week since he is healing faster.
