Thanks all! When it happened I started grabbing all the eggs I had in the fridge. I had just sold a bunch the day before.

Update is that I have a few pips! I will be sure to post pics of the chicks.

What do you think?

Is this a bacterial ring? #1

This looks bad, too, right? #2

Is this a bacterial ring, or regular growth? #3

I'm hopeful about this one. #4

Okay. Most are hard to see, but it seems at least a few are developing. That's all, I promise.

Let me know if you think I should be posting these somewhere else.

Blood rings on the first 3. The 4th one looks ok to me.

Thank you. Should I go ahead and pull the ones with obvious blood rings? No chance they'll develop, and they might contaminate, right?

meh. You could wait if you want. Blood rings dont necessarily mean bacteria---but they probably aren't developing.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

Random thoughts for the day:

Ok-- can I just say how awesome shower curtains who don't need shower curtain rings are? You know the ones with circular snap in hooks?

The DH and BIL spend all day welding and pulling wire---so the tub and shower curtain get covered with weld slag, soap scum, and dirt in a day or two. Taking down (and remembering to put up) the shower curtain was the biggest PITA, ever.

Now with the cheapo snap-in curtain, I don't put off washing it or hanging it up---AND I never accidentally pull the bar down on my head.

...it's the little things.

I put 42 eggs on the 27th, 50 eggs on the 28th and12 for the Easter hatch. I also have 42 starting to hatch as I type. 4 out so far.

Just did!

5,075 is the total I got!

That does not include the 52 people who haven't said how many they put in!!!

I pull them for that reason.
