See what we do is, be sure the hen is doing the egg-song, then run in and stick a zip tie up her....

....um well......you may be able to get her to eat it like a worm

........then when the chick hatches.......Voila!

ETA: I ziptied her before I even started squealing about having a chick in the incubator. DH has eggs hatching now, and I thought he was trying to play a trick on me by putting one of his in there...until I saw all the broken egg pieces on the bottom and found the half shell in the turner!

They are pastured - I think shes moved now - no more eggs there since I got those.......

It is a perfect little girl too! Had to have been sitting on them behind my back!

Very lucky she didn't fall into the water pan and drown!
