While I'm waiting for my NORMAL eggs to show signs of life...
Took some photos of my Sandhill order of chicks that arrived today. I ordered 10 Iowa Blues and filled the box with other random pretties to put in my layer pen. Having never seen any of these breeds before and having a box full of funky colored chicks, I did my best to separate and label.
Iowa Blues:
(A couple pictured of the 10. They look a little rough, were playing in their food and being the smallest in the tank got walked upon.)
La Fleche (White and Black):
(OK, looking at the center one in the whites, that comb looks different though the feathers are coming in white...I've probably got them all categorized wrong, but hey, it's my best guesses. Will see when they grow up! The only whites I had in the order were La Fleche and White Spanish White Faceds and that doesn't look like a single comb to me.)
Wyandottes (Silver Laced, Silver Penciled, and Black):
