Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I've yet to get a chick from him, but this big boy was having his way with a little Ameraucana pullet right in the middle of the big mud puddle in front of the coop. I'm hopeing for crosses from either of these two on my Ameraucana and EE for the Easter Hatch. [ Excuse the poor pics, was trying to take them after dark in the lighted coop, and couldn't even find them in the viewer................... and I gave up trying to keep that lid of my creep feeder clean

Wow! Well done! Sad to say I used to do both sets of Shetland feet here in one session but now my back says 1 pony per day is enough most days.

'Course if I didn't have turn myself into a pretzel to get to those weeny feet it might help.

My very tall farrier suggested things would be easier if we put a jack under their bellies and lifted them up to normal horse height.

If you're in Anchorage, there are lots of options, depending on which breeds you are interested in. As for this being too much pressure, depends on your threshold for excitement. You'll never know till you try

If your still looking for Wellies head on over to the breeds section and pull up the Wellie thread. Someone there is bound to be able to help you with some eggs.

They really are great birds, I have a pair and am anxiously waiting for my first egg.

I would think it would help but sometimes I wish a few of mine were smaller. I have a percheron cross mare and she likes to think that I am her fourth leg when I am doing her feet. 1600 lbs of horse on your back gets you tired really fast!

Of course her's are the biggest and the thickest feet so she takes the longest too.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm still trying to decide, there are so many breeds of chickens I want!
