Therefore I only have 10 chickens.

I shan't count the 6, 2wo chicks in the brooder in my spare room. (Which is rapidly becoming the chicken room...)

WARNING another kitty post!

I'm glad he's turning into your best ever cat, you deserve that after the dedication of raising him.

I was never allowed cats growing up but I have 3 spoilt house kitties now (all rescues) and I feel the same way.

Those are very good prices from the vet. Mine's usual charge is $100 to spay and $50 to neuter but I recently found out the participate in a low cost spay/neuter program for low income earners which I'd qualify for. I'll have to ask them what the discount cost is and if they will do the ferals. They aren't too bad, I can get fairly close to some but I'm sure they will freak out once caught and taken to the vet.

Just 'cause I can, here is a shot of my three. Do you think they know they aren't supposed to be on my bench or kitchen windowsill?

DH is keeping track of my numbers too... He keeps telling everyone I have 16 chickens, like it's a bad thing?

well i am new to chickens i grew up around them because my grandparents had some but this is my first time for me to own chickens my self i have 17 hens and one rooster husband says that is enough and i only have room for 2 more so what i hatch for this will go to my cousin unless my husband extends the coop and run i would love to have at least 100 chickens DH says i can have what ever i want as long as i do not break us lol he says that to keep me happy because he knows that in the long run i will get what i want lol

DH grew up with chickens also. His grandfather raised them for many years. DH raised them. When we got married in '93, he had some roosters and some hens...then just hens.......then none for about 4 years.

Now DH has his own chickens! LOL! And I have mine......IDK how that happened, though.

I told DH when we bought this house.....NO CHICKENS HERE.

OK at farm...NOT ok at house.
