Ok the brooder is ready for the silkies, just need chick start. Then I am gonna do a houdini and fit 36 eggs in a 24 egg bator.

OK got final count of 45 Easter Eggers.

Finally figured out how to get these into my GQF with 3 hatches already in there.

Candled 258 eggs and had 26 that were not developing so out they came. Then I figured out that With the first hatch coming out Tuesday for lockdown, I could put the others on the bottom and hand turn them for a couple of days. Then I can move all 45 into one tray.

Problem solved. YAAAAAAA

Last minute ideal for a contest: What is the total # of eggs set by everyone added together. Just needs someone to run the contest.

My guess 145 participants 8652 eggs. Anyone else???

I have over 90 to go in 2 bators that hold 24 eggs each.

I should be getting a GQF Incubator and Hatcher this Sunday..I sure need one!

I think he said it holds around 250. Originally made for hatching emu eggs and other big ones. I'm not sure how many we'll be setting this hatch - there's some duck and Muscovy in right now - although they are set to hatch for Easter, I don't know if they count.

How are you hatching if your 'bator and hatcher doesn't come til Sunday?

That's weird, the incubator I'm getting was set-up for Emus as well!!

I have a Mini Advanced ( Brinsea ) with 5 White Ameraucanas and then a 1588 Hova-Bator that has 42 eggs in it. around 10 of those are going into lockdown Sunday, and then I have more going into lockdown Monday and then more due in a few weeks. I'm almost thinking that I can use my 1588 as my hatcher, if I don't buy the hatcher that a friend has for sale.

2 incubators hovering 99 to 100 degrees, humidity stable, should be ready to set tomorrow except for the *expletive* fan that was supposed to arrive today that didn't. Hope it comes in the morning. *bites nails* The fan in one of the bators was never quite right when set up, noisy, slinging grease on the window, got worse but made it through the last hatch. Ordered a replacement, where is the darn thing?!?! Gar. Pay for expedited shipping, you'd think they would...well...espedite it.

Final count to go into the bator depends on how early my girls get with it tomorrow morning.

12 Dark Egg Selected B/B/S Cuckoo Marans
8 Big, but not so dark Marans eggs from the layer pen for fun
9 Olive Egger Project Eggs (B/B/S/Cuckoo)

Let's see, that's 73 eggs total. Hoping for 2 more Olive Egger F1s and hopefully another handful of Marans eggs. Got 82 spaces, so won't have a problem fitting tomorrow's morning eggs.

Well I guess I am having a staggered hatch!

I am good to go with a dozen eggs from Kathy but my six olive eggers, which were shipped four days ago, didn't arrive. If I get them, it won't at least until Monday as we never get packages on Saturdays. I am bummed because I did not want a staggered hatch. I have PM'd the seller asking for tracking information but haven't heard back. I am frustrated and haven't even started yet!
