Do we count any eggs that we set under a broody if they went in today and will hatch the same time as the others?? I will put my number set on the sheet as soon as I know that answer.

Here is what I set in the Brinsea (31 eggs total):
7 wheaten Marans
12 BBS Marans
1 BC Marans
6 Lav/Split Ameraucanas
5 isa brown/JG

Then I stuck under broody:
1 BW Ameraucana
1 isa brown/JG
1 BCM

Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC Easter Hatch Contests:

1. Best Hatch Rate Contest:
For this contest during this hatch, participants will be hatching a minimum of 20 eggs. Post how many you will have cooking by Monday 04 April 2011 and then don't go back and edit your post where you tell us how many eggs you start with. When the hatch is over, you'll take a pic and post it to show us how many you actually got... it would be nice if we could count them.
In the event of a tie, the one who hatches the most chicks wins.
Prize: 6 month GFM sponsored by BYC/Nifty!

2. Cutest Chick Picture:
Pic will need to be taken and posted by or before 11:59PM EST on April 26th... We'll be asking folks in the hatch as well as some moderators to help me judge if they are willing. There will be 1st and 2nd place awards given
Prizes: First and second place receive 6 month GFM sponsored by BYC/Nifty!

3. Guess for # of chicks Mahonri hatches:
Guesses need to be made before 11:59:59PM EST on April 6th. The guesses will be posted on post 1 somewhere beside the hatch participant's name.
In order to help break a tie, you'll also need to guess the breeds of the first three chicks out. If you want to know what breeds are in Mahonri's bator read the thread!

OMG i just found out where one of my silver spangled hamburgs has been dissapearing to she has been at the old barn on our land that is not used anymore and we found her with 5 eggs we cracked two to see if she had been sitting on them and sure enough she has so now she has three. that makes it 25 eggs unless one starts to set on the other 12 eggs outside. I have 22 under one hen the 3 under another and 12 ready for the next hen i have one that has been sitting on those eggs for a few hrs off a few hrs on a few hours and so on maybe in the morning i will find the third hen on eggs if so my number will go up . started with 22 an hr ago found a hen with 5 but she only has 3 now which makes it 25 and now a hen that looks like she wants to set on the 12 eggs in the other nest box and if she does that will put me at 37. where an i going to put all these chickens i have a 8 X 10 coop with 4 different roosts that are 7 feet long and comes out from the wall 2 feet and they have free range of 4 acres of land everyday how many can i fit into that coop. we are already building another one in a few weeks to put 12 babies in

Ok So I set
7 geese eggs 6 White Chinese eggs on the 23rd march 1 from my own stock that is african/toulouse mix on the 26th march
3 black copper marans
3 barnyard mix
6 turkey mix eggs though they where set a week early due to mis ship
and will be setting quail at the right time
