You should tell them by asking questions and then making it clear they can assume they'll have trouble with a singlet, and suggest they find other chicks for the potential successful hatch. Maybe it's not too late to add to the incubator?

Edited to add: I took too long to answer because husband wanted to complain about pension vs. retirement funds and couldn't stop.

That is pretty much what I said. I am not so eloquent with my words. Oh well, it's said and done. Then some other member comes along and DUH!!!! Buy a chick for it. Stupid me. Why did I not think of that? Hatcher at heart here.
