So sorry you are having trouble with it.

I'm wondering if it's the cool water coming in from the humidity reservoir?

I have a butter dish-lid, with a folded washcloth in it, filled with water.

The dish lid is the right width for a row of eggs, and I can still get two eggs in that row.

The water is close enough to the heat source it stays at 100 degrees. Maybe that will help?

I think I am going to get a Dickey incubator.

My humdity does not want to rise! UGH!!!! I cannot believe how many people have early hatches. Good grief. Stuck some eggs under another broody. That's 4 broody's in the broody coop now. I'm out of room in there now. I have a call duck that made a nest in the ground and has been gathering her eggs and covering them with straw but isn't sitting. I'm not sure how long I should leave the eggs there. It's only been about 3 days. Seems she's considering being broody. Any advice?

Jail. A small confined space away from the others with no nesting materials. Only food and water. She should break in about 48 hours. I have a rather pissy broody rouen hen with about 24 eggs. Go figure.

I've never had trouble saying no to Silkies in the past........................ now I may be softening. I think Burberry may be a winner, and the other pic could head a calander month.
